December 27th

Because my brother and sister-in-law didn't come up on Christmas from Spanish Fork we had a party on Sunday December 27th. It was fun to see everyone and exchange gifts.

Christmas Eve

I forgot to put up the pictures of Christmas Eve. We went to my parents house and had dinner. My mom invited my cousin Allison and her family to come to dinner with us. After dinner Allison got all the kids together and they acted out The Christmas Story while Brennan read it. They all did a great job.

After the play we opened presents from Grandma and Grandpa Great. Grandma gave Morgan a pair of bra's and some underwear as a gag gift

Christmas 2009

We spent Christmas morning in the ER! Bailee had a fever of 103.4 on Christmas Eve, but she wasn't acting sick. So I gave her some Tylenol and put her in the bath to help with her shivering. The temp went down with in about 15 mins. She still had a temp during the day but it wasn't as dramatic as it had been.

So we went to our Christmas party. She woke up Christmas morning at about 7:45 a.m. and was burning up and shaking again. I took temp and it was 104.7. and she was fussy. So we decided we needed to take her to the ER since that was all that was open on Christmas day. So we got ready and drove upWe got to the Hospital and she was fine on the drive up and while we were checking in, but as soon as the nurse put the ID badge on her ankle that set her off and she screamed pretty much to entire time we were there.

The doctor came in and told us that he was pretty sure that she had a viral infection. She had had an ear infection so he didn't think it was very likely that it was bacterial since she has been on an antibiotic. He did say that the only thing that the Amoxicilin didn't cover would be a UTI. So he wanted to take a urine sample just to make sure, but the only way to do that would have been to catheterize her. Nate said NO WAY! She also broke out in a rash while we were there. He explained why this was a "good" rash.

Then he explained that the temperature of the fever is really not what the doctors worry about it's more what the child or person is doing. If they are being there self and you can tell that they are sick then that is pretty normal but if they are really out of it and excessively sleepy then that is what they don't want to happen and that is when you should worry.

He told us that the sickest person that he had seen though out his entire career had a temp of 99.5. That was the sickest person he has ever seen! She is doing better now. She still has a rash all over her body but hopefully it will go away soon. The rest of the day once we got home and she had a nap was pretty good! We were spoiled of course!

Taking out the Trash

Bailee's favorite thing to do lately is to take the dirty diaper and throw it in the garbage can. She just thinks that it is the funnest thing to do!

Christmas Progressive Dinner

Every year Nate's dad and aunts do a progressive dinner right before Christmas. It is always a lot of fun and great food. Bailee was able to sit on Santa's lap. We weren't sure how she would do since most kids her age freak out. She did very well and sat long enough for us to snap a few pictures.

Like Mother Like Daughter

When I was about Bailee's age my favorite thing to do was to crawl into the bathroom and unload the cupboards and then crawl inside. Now Bailee has discovered a cupboard of her very own in the kitchen. As you can see I have caught her on many occasions climbing inside!
