Christmas Eve
I forgot to put up the pictures of Christmas Eve. We went to my parents house and had dinner. My mom invited my cousin Allison and her family to come to dinner with us. After dinner Allison got all the kids together and they acted out The Christmas Story while Brennan read it. They all did a great job.

Christmas 2009
We spent Christmas morning in the ER! Bailee had a fever of 103.4 on Christmas Eve, but she wasn't acting sick. So I gave her some Tylenol and put her in the bath to help with her shivering. The temp went down with in about 15 mins. She still had a temp during the day but it wasn't as dramatic as it had been.

So we went to our Christmas party. She woke up Christmas morning at about 7:45 a.m. and was burning up and shaking again. I took temp and it was 104.7. and she was fussy. So we decided we needed to take her to the ER since that was all that was open on Christmas day. So we got ready and drove upWe got to the Hospital and she was fine on the drive up and while we were checking in, but as soon as the nurse put the ID badge on her ankle that set her off and she screamed pretty much to entire time we were there.

The doctor came in and told us that he was pretty sure that she had a viral infection. She had had an ear infection so he didn't think it was very likely that it was bacterial since she has been on an antibiotic. He did say that the only thing that the Amoxicilin didn't cover would be a UTI. So he wanted to take a urine sample just to make sure, but the only way to do that would have been to catheterize her. Nate said NO WAY! She also broke out in a rash while we were there. He explained why this was a "good" rash.

Then he explained that the temperature of the fever is really not what the doctors worry about it's more what the child or person is doing. If they are being there self and you can tell that they are sick then that is pretty normal but if they are really out of it and excessively sleepy then that is what they don't want to happen and that is when you should worry.

He told us that the sickest person that he had seen though out his entire career had a temp of 99.5. That was the sickest person he has ever seen! She is doing better now. She still has a rash all over her body but hopefully it will go away soon. The rest of the day once we got home and she had a nap was pretty good! We were spoiled of course!

12 Month Well Check
I took Bailee to her 12 month appointment today. She now weighs 18 lbs and 4 oz without clothes on. She is 28 1/2 inches tall. That puts her in the 10th percentile for weight and she has jumped from about the 15th to the 35th percentile for her height! She is right where the doc says she should be with her social skills, motor skills, and everything else. She is so smart and learning new things everyday. I can't believe that I have a one year old!

Bubble Bath
Bailee got some bubble bath for her birthday, so we tried it out! She loved it so much she tried to give it a hug! I remember as a kid always taking a bubble bath at my Grandma's house and how much fun we had playing in the bath tub. I hope that I can make the same kind of great memories for Bailee!

Happy Birthday!
Swimming at "The Bubble"

We played in the water for a couple of hours and then soon got out, showered and then went home for another nap. When Bailee woke up we met Nate's family at Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was delicious!

After we opened gifts and had some breakfast Bailee went down for a nap, and Nate and I got ready to go swimming. When Bailee woke up we got her dressed in her swimming suit and then we went to Costco to get some lunch. It's cheap and it's tasty. We then met Nate's parents and three out of four sister's at the pool. We had a lot of fun, the water was really cold and Bailee was shivering before we even got in the water.
Bailee's First Birthday
Well we woke up pretty early Saturday morning thanks to Bailee. We got dressed and went into the family room to open presents. Bailee was a little overwhelmed with all the presents. We took turns helping her open. She eventually got the hang of it and started to open pretty quickly. We could tell she was board when she slowed down.

We made sure to take a ton of pictures so we wouldn't miss anything!

Happy Halloween
After Grandma and Grandpa's house we went back home and made a salad for our Halloween party at Rem and Christy's house. While we were home we had a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Anderson. We had a lot of fun at the party. All in all it was a fun first Halloween.
We got home and played in the cupboards while we waited for our Dad to get ready. We went Trick-or-Treating around our complex and then went up to Grandma and Grandpa Springer's house.
The Witch and The Ballerina
Bailee and Ellie
Because I never had a sister to practice hair on growing up, we went over to Amber's to have her help us with Bailee's hair. We also enjoyed watching Ellie get her make-up on for her witch costume. She was a beautiful witch!
For Bailee's first Halloween she was a ballerina. Starting with Morgan and ending with Bailee, all of the first born girl cousins have worn this costume for their first Halloween.

Carving Pumpkins
Nate finally decided to carve his pumpkin on Halloween while Bailee and I were doing her hair at Aunt Amber's house. At least it got done so I can't complain to much!
Well I attempted to have family night and carve pumpkins. By the time Nate got home from work and we had dinner, and fed Bailee she was to tired of sitting in her high chair. So we cut the tops and gutted them and then left it for another night. I knew that if I didn't do them tonight they wouldn't get done. Nate is working late and I was going to carve his but I decided not too. He can do it he needs to do stuff he doesn't totally enjoy more often. So when he carves his pumpkin I will be sure to post some pictures.

Pumpkin Patch
Every year since Brandi and her family moved to Layton, they have made a tradition to go to Days Farm and Pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. This year she invited the whole family. We ride the tractor out to the pumpkin field and pick as many pumpkins that we want. Bailee really liked the pumpkins and the Hayride. We had a great time being with family. After we picked our pumpkins we went back to Brandi's for some hot soup. It was delicious!

Playing in the cupboards
Well now that Bailee is getting around a lot quicker these days I have to keep my eyes and ears open. She really enjoys going into the kitchen and ripping apart the cupboards. I have a picture of me when I was probably about the same age in the cupboard under the bathroom. The only difference was that I liked to pull everything out and then try to climb in. At this point Bailee only pulls as much as she can out and then plays for a while then goes to find something bigger and better.

80 Today Snow Tomorrow!!
Well if you have ever lived or been to Utah, you will know that the weather is constantly changing. Monday it was in the 90's, yesterday the 80's, today the 40's with a chance of snow mixed with rain. Ugh! It has been raining since before 6:00 a.m. I don't mind the rain every once in a while, but I don't want it to be snowing yet! We only got two months of summer and now it skipped right over fall and went strait to winter! What is a woman to do?

Getting So Big!
Labor Day Picnic in the Park

For Labor Day we decided that we would spend some time outside. So we pack up the diaper bag and went to the grocery store. We got stuff to make sandwiches and then went to North Canyon Park. We walked down to a shady area and sat and had our lunch while we enjoyed the beauty of nature. We then took Bailee home to have a nap and later went back out for a hike. We decided to hike up North Canyon Trail. I was in shorts and flip flops while Nate was wearing tennis shoes and Bailee was in the stroller. As we got to the foot of the trail we saw a biker about to head up the trail. So we asked him if he thought it would be possible to take a stroller up the trail. He said sure that it should be no problem. I am not sure what he was smoking! The trail is preceded by about a mile of dirt road that you can drive up. Nate didn't want to drive his car up so we decided to just walk up the road. The first ten feet was covered in huge rocks and the road was horribly washed out. We made it up the treacherous road got to the trail and decided to head back down. On the way down Nate was carrying Bailee and I was pushing the stroller. I lost my footing and slipped and cut my knee open pretty bad. At first I didn't even know it was bleeding then Nate told me that I should try to clean it out. I looked down and had blood gushing down my leg. We made it back to the car and then headed over to my parents house to get me cleaned up. I asked my dad if he thought I needed stitches, he said no just put some peroxide on it and some neosporin and a band aid and it should be fine. We then left and went out to dinner with Nate's family. What a fun filled adventure we had. My Knee is still healing, but it looks a whole lot better!

CCR

A couple of weeks ago my Father-in-law took me, Nate, my Mother-in-law, Nate's sister Angie and her husband Mark and his sister Amanda to Wendover to see Creadance Clearwater Revisited. It was a lot of fun to spend time with the family and enjoy a concert as well. We left around 1:30 p.m. and on the way out we stopped at The Salt Flats none of us had ever been out there. It was pretty cool to see a sea of nothing but white salt. Then my Father-in-law being the child that he is decided that he needed to do some donuts! It was pretty funny because he left black tire marks all over. We got to Wendover and sat at a park for a bit while we waited for Angie and Mark to get there. Then we went and had dinner at one of the three buffets. It was pretty good food for a buffet! We then went to The Peppermill Concerthall. Poor Ashlee couldn't come because you have to be 21 to enter and she is only 17. The concert was great! Even though I didn't know to many of the songs that they sang.
The concert got over at about 9:30 p.m. Mark and Angie stayed the night at one of the nice hotles and the rest of us drove home. Because it was so late Randy had Nate drive home. We had been on the freeway for probably about 15 or 20 minutes when the wind started to blow hard enough that it was causing the truck to sway back and fourth. Just then we noticed that a motorcycler was in front of us and he started to fishtale like crazy. Nate was afraid that he was going to hit him. The guy then went off the side of the road. I began saying Stop, Stop, Stop! Finally, Nate pulled over and we got out and ran down to help the guy. I got there first and was scared to death. Luckily he wasn't hurt! He blew a tire and was so scared that he could hardly speak to us. He was on his way home from doing a friend a favor. He lived in West Jordan so we were able to give him a ride home. The entire ride he kept saying how unlikely it is to be able to stay up on a motorcycle with a blow out. He was extremely greatful for our help and it was an awsome exprience.

The Treehouse

So my dad's family owns some property up in Mountain Green and we have our family reunion there every other year. Well my dad's cousin is in charge of the upkeep and owns part of it. He decided to build this amazing tree house! It has three bedrooms with sinks and toilets. The plumbing isn't hooked up yet but will be soon. At our reunion this past June we had an auction and up for auction was this tree house! A one night stay in the tree house. My niece decided that she needed to bid on it. So with my mom's approval she bid on it and won! A one night stay in the tree house. It was a lot of fun!

POOTASTROPY!
This ones for you Ali!
So do you remember the tongue twister that has something to do with slitting the sheet but if you say it fast you usually end up saying "Shit the sheet!"? Well that is were my story begins. I finished feeding Bailee her lunch and decided that I'd better go change her before she went down for her nap. Well it started out okay but then I noticed that some of the poo in her diaper fell onto the bed so I cleaned it up and got her cleaned up. At that moment I noticed that she wasn't quite finished with her business. So I hurried and put the diaper back under her so that it wouldn't get on the bed. Then I started to clean her up again all the time she is thinking she is pretty funny and won't hold still for anything. So I took the diaper to the garbage so that she wouldn't want to try and eat it. When I got back she had done some more all over my bed. A big pile of CRAP!!! So nasty! Oh well in the words of my cousin Ali, "it makes a good story though." =)

I need some advice
Recently, I found out that a dear friend of mine who I have known the majority of my life has left the church. This friend served a mission and has been active in the church all my life. I just recently found out that this friend chose to leave the church a little less than a year ago. I am confused as to what I should do. We talked for a long time and I told him/her that I was happy for them if they were happy. Was that wrong to say? I told them that I would be their friend no matter what and that I don't have any room to judge. I am happy for their happiness, but I ache inside knowing that they have no desire to return to the temple one day. I ache to know all the blessings and truths that they gave up to go a different direction in life. I love this friend with all my heart and I don't know how to deal with this news. I haven't really thought of anything else since I found out. Please to anyone out there please give me some advice help me to know what I should do and how to get over this huge boulder in my life. Thank You!

Bailee Bottle Break-Through
Well I gave Bailee a bottle of water yesterday, and she did pretty good with it. So today I thought I would try it again, but put formula in it. To my surprise she took it pretty well. I didn't nurse her it was great. I may be able to finally get my chest back to myself!

It only took about two hours for her to actually drink 1 full ounce! (sarcasm) I don't care how long it takes I am just happy she will actually finally take a bottle. I was afraid for a while that I would be one of those parents who has to breast feed until the child is in Jr. High! Yuck!

After Bailee's nap I gave her the rest of the bottle and by 4:00 this was my result!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

Today my mother-in-law and I drove to The Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. We had to stop at Nate's work on the way out so his boss told him to go with us. It was a nice little family outing. We went to Subway for lunch afterward. I had never been to an open house before. I remember when I was about 12 years old I spent time volunteering at the Bountiful Temple, putting booties on peoples feet as they walked in, but I never actually went in with the tour. It was a great experience. If you haven't gone yet I would suggest it. The open house ends on the 1st. For anyone who is interested go to lds.org/reservations for tickets and tour times.

24th of July
On the 24th of July Nate and I took Bailee to the Bountiful Park for the fair. She was a little to small to go on any of the rides by herself and they wouldn't allow adults to go on most of them. So we enjoyed going down the slide and sharing a blue raspberry snocone. Boy did she enjoy the snocone!

Later that night we went to Amber's house for games, snacks, and fireworks. We ended the night with a little American Idol Kareoke. Amber and Sandy were a hoot to watch! We had a lot of fun just being with family and trying to teach Grandma how to play Phase 10!

Thursday night Bailee and I went with my family to the Handcart Day's Parade on Main Street in Bountiful. I hadn't been to the parade for several years. It was a lot of fun to be able to spend time with my family and Bailee really enjoyed it.

I had to laugh at the outfits that these people are wearing, because it is the exact same uniform that I wore when I worked at Lagoon! Yuck!

A Lot To Be Thankful For!
Yesterday Nate and I drove down to Spanish Fork to see his sister and brand new baby boy. On the drive we were almost is an accident that probably would have taken our lives. Luckily Nate was driving! We were on I-15 south bound at somewhere between 53rd and 90th south Nate was cut off by an old pickup truck. As he was behind the truck he noticed that his spare tire was very loose and saw it wiggle. Nate thought to himself that it looked like it was going to fall off. As soon as he thought that boom! He hit the breaks and because my eyes were closed I didn't see it fall, when I opened them all I saw was a big black tire coming strait for us. Luckily it totaly bounced over our car and as far as we could see it didn't hit anyone else. It was the scariest thing I have ever been through! We are so greatful that we got to and from his sisters house safely last night becuase it could have easily been our last.

Found some pictures
So it turns out that some of the pictures that I thought I lost I did end up putting them on my computer before the reunion. The majority of pictures that I wanted to post are not on my computer. I guess I shouldn't dwell on it any longer because there is nothing I can do to get them back.
Good News; Bad News
Well the good news is that we finally got the internet last night. I was so excited that Nate's new employer agreed to pay for monthly internet access so that he could work from home if he felt inspired. So for that I am so excited to be able to get back into the groove and know what is going on with all my family and friends. =)
The bad news is that a few weeks ago while we were at a family reunion Nate and I somehow lost my camera with all the pictures of when Ashlee and her family were here. So I lost them all. I am so sad that now I don't have a camera and I don't have the money to get a new one right now. When I realized that I didn't have it I cried. So I have the internet but I probably won't have to many new pictures because of the problem on no camera. =(

How To Host A Murder
On Friday March 6th the Elders Quorum in our ward put on a murder mystery party. There were six groups of eight all playing the same game. It was a lot of fun. I was so impressed with Nate he came up with his costume all by himself. He told me that he would not dress up so that he could surprise me and show me that he does know how to have fun. He had help from his dad for the outfit and props but he had the ideas all himself. I had to have my mom help me with everything. It turned out pretty good. We had a lot of fun and look forward to doing it agian next year. It was so nice to be able to have a night without the baby. It was a much needed break. Anyone with kids can appreciate that!

Thirty Years Together
On Saturday my Mother and Father-in-Law celebrated their 30th anniversary. So they had the whole family meet at their home and had pictures taken and then we went to Golden Corral for lunch. Ean had eaten his lunch and decided to go to each table and see what he could find. Well he found left over ice cream that one of the cousins didn't eat and so he decided to eat it and well his outfit is a result of that!!!
Bailee's Blessing

Charley and Ean loving their new cousin. When I was updating I forgot one very important event. That was Bailee's Blessing. We had a great turn out of people. It is so awsome to have a family that supports us. we had so many people that we hardly had room to put anyone in our small home. The food was good thanks to all those who brought something. It was a very special day for our little growing family. Nate gave a beautiful blessing.

BAILEE TAKES A BINKI!!
FINALLY CAUGHT UP!!!
Well I am finally caught up to the present day. I don't have direct access to the internet so it takes me longer to keep everyone up to date. Now that I am caught up I will try to continue to stay up to date. It is hard when you have a young child that wants all your attention. So I am sorry that it has taken me so long but hopefully I can now keep up!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
We ended up not doing anything for Valentine's this year. So that night I went to the store and got some stuff to make a Valentine's dinner on Sunday. So when we got home from church on Sunday I made us dinner. Probably only the second or third time since we have been married. I made a salad and tried to make some ranch chicken but I am an idiot and misread the recipe. I bought ranch dressing instead of the dry mix. So we had to change our plans and make lemmon chicken instead. Nate said it was good but I think he was just being nice. The salad and dessert turned out good though. The next day, Nate got up and got ready for work and left. About 20 minutes later he came home and he had two roses in his hand. A long stem for me and a short stem for Bailee. He also took the day off so that he could spend the day with us.

Merry Christmas!!!
Nate gave me a video camera for Christmas and he got some more movies for his collection.
Christmas was so special this year. To be able to share our sweet present with everyone. I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas gift. The only thing missing was my sweet sister Ashlee and her family.
We spent Christmas Day up at Burke and Brandi's house. Burke made his annual breakfast, it was delicious!
Ellie snuck away and got into the recipe cupboard. I caught her and had to take a picture!
After Brandi's house we went to Nates parents house to see his family. We did our gift exchange with his siblings. I got Batman The Dark Knight on DVD and Nate got a cookie Jar from his sister Andrea and her family. His parents gave us money and I got Lego Batman a video game. Nate's dad also bought him four brand new tires for his car because it was horrible in the snow and oh did it make a diffrence!

Bitter Sweet
On November 6th I went to the doctor to have my membrane stripped for the second time. I was due on the third so I was ready for her to GET OUT!!! Well my moms youngest sister Lori had been in the hospital all week and was not looking very good. So after my appointment I went up to the University Hospital and met my parents, grandparents, Aunt Polly, Cousin Heather and Aunt Sandy. Poor Aunt Lori looked awful. Well I spent most the day at the hospital. When I went home at about three in the afternoon I started to feel some contractions. I got home and took a nap.
Later that night at about 2:00 a.m. I woke up to use the bathroom and thats when they started really bad. I woke Nate up we hurried and got our stuff together and left for the hospital. When we got to the hospital I was dilated to a six and 50% effaced. After a few minutes they checked me again and I was quickly progressing. The RN told Nate to call family if he wanted. So it is 3:30 a.m. and he calls my mom and this was how the conversation went.
Nate "Good morning!"
Mom " Good morning."
Nate " It's looking good"
Mom heard "It's not looking good"
Mom "Do you want us to come up?"
Nate "Whatever!!"
Mom (thinking) "Well thats not very profesional!"
Mom " Have you called anyone else?"
Nate "No"
Mom "Okay,I will call them."
Nate " Okay, bye"
Mom then hung up the phone and called all her sisters and her parents. They got to the hospital and went to the fourth floor for ICU. They went and asked the doctor what was going on he asured them that nothing had changed and that he did not call her. So as they were sitting in the waiting room of the ICU trying to figure out what was going on. Mom turned to dad and asked, " the phone did ring, didn't it?" he replied, "Yes, cause I remembered thinking oh there's our Lacey!" at that moment my mom and Sandy looked at each other and said "LACEY!!" and with that jumped out of their seats and went to the elevator.
Luckily I delivered at the University of Utah Hospital so they didn't have to go to far to get to me. By the time they figured out that it was Nate that called and not the doctor Bailee was already born. So when the nurse came in and said that I had a bunch of moms waiting to see me I was a little surprised to see my grandparents, my aunts and my cousin and my parents.
Bailee Abigail Anderson was born at 4:57 a.m. she weighed 7lbs 6oz and was 19 1/2 inches tall. She had tons of dark hair, long eye lashes and beautiful eyebrows. She was born in about two hours from the time we got to the hospital. It was a fast easy labor and I hope that all of them are that quick and easy!
Later that day my family decided that they would take Lori off the ventalator. She passed away peacefully. I keep saying that she and Bailee made a deal. She told Bailee it was her time to go home and that Bailee needed to take her place. That day was an extra special day for my grandparents. We will miss her dearly.

Lori Pier Habish Johnson

Lori Johnson, 49, passed away on November 7, 2008, surrounded by her loving husband, James Robert Johnson and her devoted parents, Jack D. and Eva B. Habish. Also at her bedside were her three sisters, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law and many caring nieces.
Lori was born February 5, 1959, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was raised in Bountiful and graduated from Bountiful High School. Lori also attended LDS Business College and was the youngest graduate in the Modeling Program at the age of 14.
Lori and Jim were married June 1, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada on her Parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary accompanied by her parents and sisters and brothers-in-law.
Lori loved gardening, camping and fishing with Jim and her beloved animals. She will be especially missed by her dog Poco, who was always by her side. Lori's daily phone calls to her Mom will also be sorely missed.
Lori is survived by her husband, parents, and sisters, Sandra (Greg) Hemming, Vickie (Jeff) Springer, and Polly Fackrell, sister-in-law, Genann Howard, Brother-in-law, Mark Johnson, and many caring nieces and nephews.
Our family is grateful to Dr. Benjamin Smith and nurse Jolene in the MICU at the U of U Hospital for their extraordinary care of Lori.
God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come with Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
It’s lonesome here without you, we miss you more each day. Life does not seem the same since you have gone away. When days are sad and lonely and everything goes wrong, we seem to hear you whisper, “Cheer up and carry on.” Each time we see your picture you seem to smile and say, “Don’t cry, I’m in God’s keeping. We'll meet again someday.”

LOOKING BACK

A few years ago i took my cousin Ali to the Tim Mcgraw and Faith Hill concert. We had a blast but were a bit disappointed that our expensive tickets landed us on the very top row of the Delta Center (AKA ESA). Oh well though! Its always fun to have a girls night out and be able to get all dolled up to go to a awesome country concert. Of course we took a few pictures to remember the day by. The ones of Tim & Faith were not so great from 100 miles away.
